Best Beach Clubs in Kalkan
1.) Zest Beach Club
Zest Beach Club is situated in the Komurluk district of Kalkan and is easily accessible either through the widespread taxis to the resort or the water taxis departing from the main Kalkan harbor. The water taxis, which run every 15 minutes, provide a convenient and cost-free way to reach the beach club, also offering the chance to spot sea turtles along the way. Given the beach club's popularity, it's advisable to secure your seating in advance by making reservations through WhatsApp or Instagram.
In terms of Zest Beach Club's ambiance, it caters to a younger crowd, featuring mid-level music throughout the day. It's an ideal spot for socializing, capturing Instagram-worthy pictures, and unwinding to music with a refreshing beer or cocktail. What sets Zest apart is its saltwater infinity pool, a unique feature distinguishing it from competitors, as only a few beach clubs in Kalkan boast their own swimming pools. The club also has an on-site restaurant which offers an extensive oriental menu, catering to people’s diverse preferences. While pricing leans toward the higher end compared to other beach clubs in Kalkan, the expense is justified by the stunning views of Kalkan and the exceptionally comfortable sunbeds that set Zest Beach Club apart.
2.) Yali Beach Club
Yali Beach Club offers a comparable experience to Zest, but the setting is distinctly different. Yali embraces Santorini vibes with its design, featuring white sunbeds, umbrellas, and flooring. This design is particularly advantageous during the summer, as the white tiles reflect the heat, keeping the sunbathing area pleasantly cool. One standout feature of Yali Beach Club that I really enjoy is the diving platform - they also have bean bags on the platform to chill from! Personally, I find Yali Beach excellent for snorkelling; the water is clearer than beach clubs closer to the harbour, and I've spotted quite a few turtles here.
Yali Beach tends to be a bit quieter than other beach clubs, primarily because of its slightly more secluded location. Most visitors opt for a taxi from their villas. However, I personally enjoy the 15-minute walk from the main harbor through the hills, passing Tas Ocak Plaji, a hidden cave with an excellent swimming spot – just exercise caution on the steps down! The food offerings at Yali Beach are also outstanding, and the attentive service adds to the overall experience.
3.) Cakil Beach Club
Cakil Beach Club is situated en route to Yali Beach Club, conveniently close to the harbor. The main reason I love this beach club is its unquestionably clear waters, making it ideal for snorkelling enthusiasts. What sets it apart is the sand and shingle entrance to the water, which makes a change from the stepped entries at other beach clubs. This sandy approach is ideal for those less confident in swimming or who prefer not to dive straight into deep waters. Additionally, the beach club offers a great view of the famous Kalkan mountain, which is particularly nice during sunset.
Furthermore, Cakil Beach Club provides excellent access to water sports, being located adjacent to the Kalkan water sports area. Adventure seekers can take part in activities like banana boat rides, jet skiing, or doughnuts. Complementing the water sport experiences, the beach club houses its own restaurant, offering a diverse menu to cater to various needs. Whether you're seeking crystal-clear waters, scenic views, or water sports, Cakil Beach Club promises an all-encompassing experience.
